ILF Neurofeedback
ILF Neurofeedback, or Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback, is a type of neurofeedback therapy that operates within the infra-low frequency range of brainwaves, typically below 0.001 Hz. Unlike traditional neurofeedback, which often focuses on higher frequency brainwaves frequencies, ILF neurofeedback targets the ultra-low frequencies that are believed to play a crucial role in overall brain balance, improving mood regulation, sleep, attention issues and focus, improving your brains’ flow state.

Individual Psychotherapy:
Deciding to seek help is one of the most powerful things we can do to improve our lives. Dawn and James will work with you to determine your goals and determine what approach fits for your individual healing. We believe that only you can heal yourself, and our goal is to be the kind and compassionate support and guidance you need on that personal healing journey. Individual therapy sessions can be scheduled with either Dawn or James and can include somatic experiencing work, parts work, empty chair work (Gestalt), envisioning and safe place techniques, EMDR- (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), meditation, mindfulness, thought awareness, neurofeedback and many other modalities that may benefit you.
Sessions can be 60, 90, or 120 minutes long, depending on your needs and what we are working through. We aim to give you support and help from the first session.

Couples Counseling
We have a unique approach to couple counseling. Through experience and observation, we have learned that getting to the heart of the issues can be very difficult in couples-only work, and the entrenched patterns, the silences, and the lack of sharing one’s true feelings, needs, and boundaries can take a great deal of time to find the real issues the couple is facing. We have, therefore, developed our approach of working all together to get to the heart of the healing and growth quickly. We combine a portion of individual therapy with a portion of couples therapy.
Both James and Dawn will see a member of the couple individually to get a feel for what each partner is experiencing and identify individual goals for each person. Since this therapy is individual, there is no need to hold back on your sharing, venting, and feelings. We then come together, the couple and both therapists, for a portion of the session, actively learning how to work on those issues together. We use part of the individual session to work on individual triggers or trauma work using EMDR and various techniques. Then we come together as a group to learn communication tools for how to share what your individual triggers or issues are with one another and how to talk through charged topics to allow for more healing and intimacy.
Group Counseling
James is a skilled and experienced group counselor who both loves and appreciates the power of group work. We will occasionally run groups that may address a variety of issues in life, from sexual assault survivors to addiction, parenting, or even leadership.
If you would like to inquire about group therapy for an organization or population, feel free to reach out and discuss your needs with James.
Coaching
Coaching is different than traditional therapy in both its scope of practice and the focus of the work. Coaching often includes more brainstorming, problem-solving, and support in logistics and decision-making than psychotherapy does. If you're looking to grow your communication skills and leadership abilities, overcome fears of success, or understand your relationships better, coaching might be the right choice for you! We are able to provide this in-person or on-line anywhere.
Neurofeedback
Unlock Your Brain's Potential with ILF (Infra-Low Frequncy) Neurofeedback. Experience the power of cutting-edge technology tailored to optimize your brain's performance. Our team utilizes advanced techniques to help you achieve better mood regulation, improve mental clarity or “brain-fog”, reduce stress and anxiety, and help to improve sleep, focus and relaxation.
This technology has the potential to:
improve symptoms around Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
can lower anxiety & depression
improve sleep,
reduce rumination,
reduce panic attacks or obsessive-compulsive (OCD) issues
help reduce addictions and cravings
can help stabilize moods
Improve Long COVID symptoms
help stabilize phobias
improve sustained focus and organizational skills
lower sensory processing sensitivities
improve many neurodivergent challenges (ie. from ADD, or Autism).
Helping Your Brain “Hear Itself”
Your brain is constantly having a conversation with itself—processing emotions, managing stress, and deciding how to respond to the world. But most of this happens outside of your awareness. Infra-Low Frequency (ILF) Neurofeedback helps your brain tune into this conversation, making it easier to regulate thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It’s like holding up a mirror to your brain, allowing it to “see” its own patterns and make adjustments for better balance and function.
ILF Neurofeedback works by detecting infra-low frequency brain activity—the deepest, slowest brainwaves that play a major role in emotional and physiological regulation. These frequencies are so subtle that we can’t consciously perceive them, but they shape how we feel and react every day. During a neurofeedback session, sensors on your scalp measure these brain signals in real time. Instead of forcing change, the system gently provides feedback through visual or auditory cues, allowing your brain to recognize its own patterns and adjust naturally.
Imagine your brain as a musician trying to play a song without hearing it. ILF Neurofeedback is like turning up the volume, helping your brain “listen” to itself. When it notices where it is out of sync—whether that’s anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or brain fog—it can self-correct and move toward a more stable rhythm. Over time, this process strengthens your brain’s ability to regulate emotions, improve focus, and respond to stress in healthier ways.
Unlike traditional neurofeedback, which often targets specific brainwave frequencies, ILF Neurofeedback takes a bottom-up approach, working with the brain’s most foundational networks. This makes it especially helpful for conditions like trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and sleep disorders, where deep, automatic brain processes need gentle support rather than forced control. By allowing the brain to recognize its own imbalances, ILF Neurofeedback encourages lasting, natural improvements in emotional and mental well-being.
In essence, ILF Neurofeedback helps your brain become a better listener—to itself. By providing real-time feedback on its own internal conversation, it encourages self-awareness and self-regulation at the deepest levels. Over time, this can lead to greater emotional stability, clearer thinking, and a stronger sense of well-being—without the need for conscious effort or external intervention.
We use electrodes and EEG technology on the head to ONLY READ the various low frequency brainwaves (nothing is sent “to” your brain). This technology then translates those brainwaves into a visual picture on a screen which your brain will use to train new optimal functioning. We use music and tactile feedback as well and by using all three modalities this allows the brain to train more quickly into more optimal brain states. Top athletes can also benefit from this technology for increasing optimal functioning and flow state.
